Which grain size scratches glass tank easily?

Hi Reefers, wanted to know whether smaller grain size (like sugar-fine) or larger grain size scratches glass easier. I know that both have the potential to scratch glasses, but which one is more prone to do so... smaller or bigger grain? All inputs from your experiences are welcome...
