Updates:

Starting to fill up with DI!

I actually used about 70% of the water from the blue tub (from the first picture), and the rest are using new DI water with Skizm Pur reef salt. Dumped 40lb worth of fiji pink salt (loving the grain size but not the amount of pink it has!) and now awaiting for the water to clear.

The amazingly quiet overflow. Great for surface skimming too

Here's what the skimmer has been pulling out after 1 hour of break-in! i believe its the cloudy water caused by the live sand!

Will be dosing prodibio Biodigest 1 vial/day for the next 14 days.

Thanks guys! @Harlequin, Yes i do have plans to do that, but not for preventing water splashing though.. right now i've tuned the overflow to be just slightly below the water level so it flows dow

Update: Today is Day 25, and its almost a month! Decided to upgrade to a bigger skimmer and got my self a Bubble Magus Curve 7, the curve 5 was my first initial choice but after researching

Update:


Tanks has cleared and has transferred corals and my 3 fishes into this tank yesterday night, Midas Blenny was seen eating pellets moments ago. Also dumped cured live rocks (from my previous tank, in the tub) into sump to help cycling. Been dosing biodigest daily.

Bro, where u source for all the rocks for this scape?

Display Tank : 36" x 20" x 20" Herbie overflow box design, Sump : 36" x 21" x 17", Frag Tank : 16” x 20” x 16”, custom built by Tank Culture.

Tonga like rocks are from iwarna, tonga branches are from lck201.. How ever they are only left with single or double branches.. Spent nearly an hour there and i cant find any bigger pieces that are multi branch

Absolutely stunning tank bro! That rockscape is dame sick, really good aquascaping skills. Perfect for ur size of tank and style! Cant wait to see it stock up, i see lots of room for plating corals.

Heres a tiny update..
Skimmer churning out yellowish skimmate.. probably due to low bioload at the moment.
Due to the space taken up by the overflow compartment, a big space were left empty at the back. wiring are not hidden and looks hideous.. DIY-ed a box to cover things up!
after placing the box in!

Bro Evo, is the wavemaker just nice for this tank?

Its working pretty well creating waves on W1 mode. I have 2 return line that is probably returning at least 2000l/hr (probably more) of water per outlet. This is providing majority of the flow.

Great vid when are you Transfering your fish over? Or cycle haven't complete? Bro the fuge light will cause stubborn hairy algae to grow in the skimmer body maybe you could block the light my beckket kena before..and you AIO running?

Thanks! Fishes are already in from day 1. Eating well!

The light in the sump is meant for just viewing the sump! i starts running AIO Biopellet today with the Alpha 2 :D

Update:

Bought 2 packs of live copepods to seed the tank. Turns out to be too much and fishes were having a great meal!

Day 9 of set up, 9 vials of Biodigest had went in at 1 vial/day. Rocks are almost covered in brown algae.
