Purple coraline turning whitish

just happen this few days...

what could be the problem

the last thing i did was changing the light from FL to PL 2x36k + 2x24k

the coraline looks great when i use FL.. but now turning whitish

no additive is added

tanks has been cycled 3+month

IMO, its the change in water parameters.... tat affect it

test 4 ur calcium...

It shouldn't have anything to do with ur lightings.

U upgrade ur light so it's for the better...

Could be with ur salinity...A change in salinity could affect the coralline algae.

Calcium is necessary for coralline algae to grow...so maybe u will like to look into this area.

did you check your tank temp? a rise in temp of more than 4 degrees constantly (ie around 31 degrees for more than 12hrs) will kill them (hence white colour).
