My tank went thu some dark period recently when I was overwhelmed with work commitments for abt 3 weeks.

Lost my mandarin fish and at least threw away 20% of corals.

Some observations I noted:

Corals do survive at extreme conditions just colour not nice.

At KH 3.1, red polyp become orange and light green become dark dirty green. Those that have survived in my tank are truly commandos SPS.

The low KH was due to the KH tubing being chocked and harden at the tip.

I took abt 2 weeks to bring all parameters back to normal and hands become itchy after my work commitments lessen.

Have been scratching my head on how to raise my rocks or lower my lights all these while.

So during weekend, went to LCK and get some tonga to play around and come up with the below scape.

I stick 1-2 joints per night and it took me abt 1.5 weeks. Including reinforcing the structure underside with cement.

The only SPS I didn't threw away, pe was good imo but turned snowy colour. Hope can slowly colour back

So far so good bro, been using cement in my tank for 3mths+
