As above... how reef safe are starfishes? <_< .. Got back from work and found my chocolate starfish covering my coral.. :( Now some holes in it already..

This is the second time and different starfish.

I find that as long as the starfish can climb, it is NOT reef safe.. :(

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

Chocolate chip starfish are not reef safe... othe like linkia and Fromia should be reef safe...

funny thing is that it didn't have any preference for the bigger one which was in there for few months <_< .. only few days back I bought this small coral and this happened.. :erm:

those doesn't seem like holes to me... it was there all along... juz that the tentacles are all shrunk into it... :) give it some times, it may extend its tentacles again... if your starfish is a chocolate chip, keep it away!!!

found out that they are not really holes.. just the 'tenticles' part melted so not all short short..

it seems that they do not like yumas and mushrooms.. have been in my tank for few months.. it only have preference for these kinds.. I bet it likes every kind of goniporas... <_<

ya better monitor yr starfish

once my stick on my star poly and the next thing u know the star poly got the shape of a star fish pattern

its in a container now.. ..

:off: I should have taken a pic of the coral encovered in mucus..I was too eager to save the coral. It looks like those alien show where bodies are covered in slime..
