Is a good question. Probably those keeping marine in the 60s or 70s will be able to tell more.

The very first encounter with a fish shop with marine fishes was at a row of shop houses which were at the site where SOTA(Prinsep Street) is now.

What caught me then was cooperband butterfly! The color was stunning. This is in the late 70s. I can't really remember what others was there.

The roll of shop shop was where Red Sea Aquarium is before they moved into Parklane shopping mall.

ah yes, I remember red sea aquarium! but wow, 60s or 70s would be impressive. most people were keeping goldfish in tin cans back then

Last the uncle sell instant Ocean salt.

The he tell me very easy to keep marine fish.

Just check SG.

I never recall seeing that lobster. how come no body?

Accordingly to the old uncle, the lobster body was bitten off part by other fish. But luckily lobster body does not holds any organs so can still eat sleep and play. Sort of.

子非鱼,焉知鱼之乐... (you are not the fish so you...)
