Coco worms

Hi Guys,

I got a coco worm that i have diff in placing it. Reason being the end of the tube is facing the mouth of the it. Can I noe if i can break the tube of the worm and would it kill the worm ?? Cause i realised that there is still alot of space for the worm to hide inside.
