SRC Member ml708 Posted October 30, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted October 30, 2014 Just yesterday I had an orange spot file die after exhibiting similar symptoms. Fins appeared frayed and a slight white coating was present on some parts of the fish. Two more of my filefish are exhibiting similar symptoms. My bandit also appears to have fin loss. Any idea on what it is and how to treat it?

SRC Member ml708 Posted October 30, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 30, 2014 Most likely it is due to water quality, try do a major water change. yeah could be. my nitrate level is around 3 at the moment. did a 10% water change and will do more. one thing I noticed was the bandit actually biting the fins of the filefishes, which I completely never expected. I never knew bandits to be actually that aggressive
oceania
When salinity levels are high, fishes also tend to have fin rot
