For clownfish shld be ok. Other fish from deeper water will color fading in hot environment. Do more research on livestock requirement before proceed. Best is control your temperature at range 28C for fish. Cheers.

1)Use Led lights and situate the lights far away from water surface

2)dont run too many systems... all the pumps and refrigum lights add heat to water

3) go for shallow tank.. so ratio of surface area to volume is larger

4) prepare ice, cold top-up water.. use them if temp hits above 30C

5) No direct sunlight, place in cool part of your house

Besides using a chiller, is there a more Cost efficient method?

Using a fan should be able to lower the temperature down by 2 degrees max, thats what i am having now.. like bro andtsg said, the evaporation is a killer, I am topping up close to 500ml of distilled water everyday (you can do the math)..

try to put a marker for your desired water level so that you can watch out for it accurately..

Best thing is still get a chiller.. LOL :D

Just have to keep reefing... cant stop now~!

Hi bro IshDeOne, chiller will definitely consume more energy. If you wanna try out using a fan, i have a brand new spare fan to pass to you foc.

Pm me if you are interested... cheers
