Hi

If let's say I use 100% seawater, will it be good for the corals ?

Because now I'm using half seawater, half salt mixed ( never use RODI water), some of my corals never open up.

PH around 8

Kh now at 14

Calcium ok

Nitrate less than 5ppm

Phosphate less than 0.25

Magnesium about 1400

Salinity 1.022

So what is the problem actually ?

Sometimes it good to just let it be . Be it nsw or salt mix . If you have just a few corals especially only LPS then the water u have is good enough, do not change anything like add calcium or mg or increase KH.

Increase the salinity up to 1.024 and that about it.

The corals not opening up is likely due to your constant water change.

By the way , if u don't use rodi for saltmix , what do u use then? Tap water?

Calcium about 430 Now kh down to like 10.8. Some corals still never open Erm yes I use tap water with salt mix. So I wonder just seawater is it good enough ? Of course, will add salt to increase the salinity But realized seawater has a much lower pH than salt mixed.

Seawater is not highly recommended as the salinity is sometimes lower than normal so it is not good enough on its own.

Looking at your other threads, it seems like your water params have gone haywire. Why not just go back to basics? Stop all your dosing if you don't know what you're doing, and stop worrying about getting a certain parameter right.

If you're keeping just LPS then just use a good saltmix with RO/DI or distilled water. You don't need to dose anything for LPS.

Just got to keep your salinity, temp, NO3 and PO4 in check, dosing can be at a much later stage.

Agreed with bro firestarter. Lets just restart from the basis of getting the water + light + flow right before adding anything else to your tank.

Pictures of your current tank and setup will also allows bros here to make suggestion for improvement.
