Bro,

Shut up!

It's day 70 and everything looks so fantastic, clean and mature like an aquarium that's at least 6 months old. What magic potion did you add to the aquarium? It is really well done and invokes admiration! I look forward to see it one month later.

Please impart some knowledge and skills to mere mortals like us.

Aquarium 3 - 250 liters with sump and refugium

Jebao DC 6000 pump with speed controller

Skimz skimmer

AI Hydra 52 HD

Hailea HS-66A (1/4 hp) chiller

Maxspect Gyre

TLF Phosban reactors with Phosban

Tunze nano osmolator

Marine Magic Triplet Dosing

Aquarium 1 - 27 litres

Atman HF-0600 HOB filter

Maxspect Razor Nano 60W (10,000 K)

Nicely fill up with sps bro

Thanks for the kind comments.

Hello!

I have still much to learn and understand, i am sure some of my coral placements are wrong, somehow at least i feel that some should be higher and some lower. Would some kind pros kindly shed some light.

Thanks for your compliments and time to read my thread. First and foremost, i think that i have gave a fair share of commitment to the aquarium. Which i think its very important, it includes:

1) Water changing every week [Running Ro/Di] Salt mix 1-2 days before the waterchange day and 20% for my case each time i do it. Clearing of Skimmer is also done once per week.

2) Dosing Bacteria [Prodibio BioDigest] 1 Vial per WC [Prodibio Bioptim] 2 Vials per WC [iodine+] 2 Vials per WC [stronti+] 2 Vials per WC [Reef Booster] 3Vials every 2 WC

3) I spent about 1-2hours a day[scrubbing and brushing of tank ] [ Feeding fishes or Market prawn to anemone and scolymias] [Checking water parimeters which includes: Calcium/Magnesium/KH and periously was Phosphate and Nitrate. Will check every month for those after i think aquarium is stable][Topping up Ro/Di water if needed]

4) Keeping water condition in check is important i guess for marine tank. Good news for those that wants to try out SPS, it can be done as per what i have now, without any dosing pump or calcium reactor.

I am dosing daily Dupla Range [Calcium 5 lvl spoons which is 10g per spoon daily] [ KH half lvl spoon daily] [Magnesium 5 lvl spoons daily too] All tanks have different requirements and i suggest to check regularly and adjust accordingly.

Going into more detail manual dosing, i will dose Ca & Mg both in the afternoon before work. [usually using a mug with my aquarium water and dilute it with stiring first before adding in]

For Night when i return, i will dose my KH which is half spoon [5g] .For a start, of course i did dose more than the recommended amount to reach my desired perimeters, before stabling and add less to maintain its value.

5)Unfortunately, i am still waiting for my controller which comes with the dosing pump and ph probe so that i can use my CR so as it can ease my workload per day. Nonetheless, It still can be done. Do not give up.

6)I personally think that the phosphate reactor as well as the bio pellet reactor plays an important role in keeping my rest of the stuffs like phosphate/nitrate to 0.

7)Lighting per day is about 8 hours. and +1 more hour for the blue tubes. [2 aqua blue special / 2 coral plus / 1 attinic / purple +] do clean your fixture every week if you remember, it is more dusty than you think. As i am afraid the fan gets dirty, i will clean it on and off too.

8) Initially, i think that 2 wave maker was enough, however along the way, i feel that some corals are not swaying too much so i added 1 more, indeed it was much better. Personally, i think its not how strong your wavemaker can create the wave, Its more of smooth random wave circulating in the water column which is more important.

9) As for corals, i will usually do dipping first before adding in. Two pails on standby, 1 for CoralRx which is 12drips per 1L of aquarium water and another pail for rinsing after dipping before introducing into tank.

10) Nothing beats spending time on your aquarium maintenance. I think thats the key to it as for ways and methods of keeping a sucessful aquarium, there are tons around.

I wouldnt say that my is the perfect way or right way. Pls take this as a reference as every individual tank is different. Thats about it.

Very nice rock scape with sps sitting on it

Thank you for your kind compliments. Some are not glue. i just left it there.hah

Very nice prodibio setup. Been seeing a lot of beautiful tanks using just prodibio products. I would say probiotic dosing is really a great way for reefkeeping, especially for sps keepers and those who like ULNS systems, follow instructions and you wont mess up.

I Love Stagsss

Those that love to interact more with their tanks would have done the way that i did. Just follow and dose once a week though they state the recommending dosage of 15days interval.

Overdosing a slight bit have showed no side effects or anything as i am always dosing the recommended dosing every water change. These are supplements afterall. It will still be good to have even if my CR and others are set up too.

Thanks for kind comments tofu since its coming from a sps tank owner like yourself.

nice tank bro, looks like all the sps are in their respective position hahaha.

will look awesome after they start growing close to 1 another.

Oh thank you! i spent lots of time shifiting them up and down and monitoring them. I think it does makes a difference in placement of the corals. I left some gaps in between them for them to grow, but wont they start to sting each other?

Would that be ok? Just slowly filling up the tank.

nice pair of clown! beautiful! camping for updates!

Thanks for joining me on my journal, hope it doesnt bored you out. Am trying to update as frequent as possible. Too bad that my dslr camera died on me and my photos are not as fantastic as many reefers here =(

I hope that i can get it repaired as the batteries i charged fully and when put into the camera, its only 1% left. i cant barely use for 1 shot.
