Ammonia

Hi hobbist,

I had bought a tank which come together with live rock(used)and bio media(used) and after 5 days. I tested ammonia which is ZERO.

does it means that with the used live rock n bio media. Life cycle will not happen?

Did u put some food for example market prawn ?

Hmm .. den should be ok .. give it another few days bah .. do water change ... slowly add fishes so that the tank can cope with the bioload .. I learnt my mistake by getting too excited and added too fast ..

Have u tested for nitrite and nitrate?

No nitrite too. Nitrate haven test

Test for nitrate so at least u know roughly how much water to change...than slowly add fish and constantly test for nitrate and make sure it isnt too high

+1 test for all 3 to make sure ammonia is being process to nitrite and then to nitrate
