from the way i look at your sump, the overflow should be hitting your sump at the right side rite??

THE SUMP

try to expand the middle compartment as much as possible, coz u can use it as a refugium...more sand can be put in it = more denitrification (i think it is spelled like tat)....

y not extend the green part to the breadth of your sump, instead of limiting it to a small corner? by extendiung it, u can put bigger piece of filters also...

dun forget to put in mind your skimmer...where should u place it....

THE OVERFLOW

becareful of fishes overflowing into that area....

wat's the 2 holes at the side for??

i see tat u are intending a 2outlets overflow....good....

check valves might be required to control your outlet...if volume of outlet is too huge, u'll constantly hear the sound of a washing machine...like me... :(

Thanks for the input. Should have drawn the equipments/piping and not make you guessing...

Water is flow into the right side of the sump.

THE SUMP

The green box is to hold filter wool. The box dimension is 1 ft by 5 in. Just nice for those $2/$3 filter floss ready available at LFS.

The skimmer is actually sitting side by side with the green box, having a foot print of 1 ft (L) by 1 ft (W).

The second compartment is intended as refugium, with dim: 1ft (L) X 1.5 ft (W) X 1.25ft (H)

THE OVERFLOW

Will use eggcrate to wrap the top of the OF.

Intent to use only one outlet tube 1.25 in diameter. Will make a durso standpipe to silence the water rushing down, as well as keep water level in OFB high.

The return pipes flow out of 2 holes at the sides of the OF. Should get 2 check valves to prevent reverse syphon.

THE CHILLER

Any advice how to pipe the chiller ?
