LPS not opening up nicely

Hi

I have LPS like hammer and plate coral not opening up nicely.

May I know what's the reason?

Few days ago, there was a spike in NO2.

Now, my parameters are:

NO2 =0

No3 close to 0

PH =8

Please advise

Hi Bro, what about your PO4? Lighting? Flow rate? How long do you have them? Are they opening up at LFS when you bought them?

what about your lighting? also, the green coral does not look like a plate to me...

Oh forgot to add on,

Few days ago my pH was around 7.8 as all the while was 8 -8.2... So could this be the reason the hammer is affected?

Bro, sorry to advice that, Api really a suck test kit, pls do not hesitate throw into recycle bin. I would suggest at least salifert or rea sea

Looks like gonio / alveo... And if that's a hammer, then you're paving both corals too closely... Your green coral will probably be the first to melt... Euphyllias pack a huge punch... I'd place both corals on the substrate first as well, away from each other... That's for acclimatisation...
