Phosphate reactors

It is necessary to remove phosphate and nitrate for the good health and growth of the corals and other inhabitants in your tank.

A reactor is an item that will help run the removal media.

If u are using media that does not require a reactor then u don't need a reactor.

There are many ways and means to remove nitrate and phosphate, google it and choose the best method for your tank.

If I remember correctly , rowaphos is iron based and phosguard is aluminum based. Both works in removing phosphate . Both have their pros an cons ..

the norm in a marine tank are 2 reactors , one rowaphos (phosphate removal) the other biopalets (nitrate removal)
