What to go into a FR?

I recently purchased a TLF phobans 150 FR, been running it with chemipure elite AC. Tempted to put bio-sphere instead of AC/ GFO in it.

Just to find out from bros and sis here, what do you put inside your FR and your feedback?

Basically the function of an FR is to constantly keep the media "tumbling",feeding it with water from the tank.

There is a myraid of products out there which you can put into an FR.

Most people will choose phos removers to be on the safe side. I put ultraphos in mine and it works for me

I'm not so sure about other products as I have yet to try them

Any other suggestions... my main aim is to remove nitrate which hovers around 10ppm (po4 undetectable now), any suggestion from bros sis who has sucess in bringing down no3? It seems like there is no AC for nitrate removal as most are absorbing organic waste (fight nitrate at the source) and not absorbing no3 itself...

If I'm not wrong ... U need phosphate to remove nitrate. If po4 is zero then your no3 will remain as it is even with nitrate removing agents.

Now that u mentioned it i thnk i read it somewhere too. Faint, that means i have to treat my fish to buffets to increase the po4...

Bro, that is what i am thinking too. Will the bio sphere tumble? And may i know what the no3 level in your tank?
