How to ensure anemone don't move around?

I've bought a carpet anemone recently and observed it to move around. Is there a trick to make the anemone stick to rock. Where does it normally like to be in the tank? Thanks in advance for the help.

It will find a spot where it's happy and it will stay there. It moves coz it's not happy with its current location due to lights , flow etc etc.

Be careful, unless your wavemaker is wrapped with sponge; you never know when your anemone decides to move.

It happened to me; they can move from time to time; since we place corals and rescape now and then;

Hence the spot that they are happy with could become unhappy due to the different/change of water flow etc...

We can never be 100% sure.

Has foot, will travel. No sure fire way to stop them from moving. They will move until they find a comfy spot. Even then, it'll move again if no longer comfy.

My RTBA lik to hide their feet away from light or sight. If like them to be at a position, I would suggest that there's a small cave or opening at the position that they can hide their feet and exposing their tentacles only.

My anemone kept moving until it found a pretty sheltered cave in between some rocks. Sheltered from wave maker land return pump flow but still access to light.

It's best not to keep, if too much movement. It's sting your other corals if you don't move it out the way. The other way is that you target feed It once it settle down to prevent it from moving other place.

It's very hard to keep as the wave maker keeps moving around plus it likes to travel depending on light conditions aswell

If a clownfish host with carpet, it will be less likely for it to move around
