Urgent guidance needed with New Reef tank

Recommended Posts

I got an alveopora from jireh, surviving well. Although I experience the hard sales but rejection is fine. Hee. By now I knew more lfs, it's always nice to move around to see different lfs still.

As for Nanoreefer, get a container/pail with clean distilled water/ro water and do your salt mix. Then put a simple air pump or low flow pump in the pail w ur new saltwater. Then transfer ur corals there for the time being. Put some loose live rocks if you have.

Next buy some beneficial bacteria such as microbe lift nite - out II, and actually jireh ' s bacteria starter is quite good. (My pico had a sudden spike and turned cloudy, his bacteria starter turned the water clean overnight) and other brands our bro can recommend.

Then have to manage other parameter using no3 removal etc.

Whatever lesson that is, welcome to reefing world! It's more fun and challenging than freshwater but certainly no regrets!

I had my lessons from other lfs. 90% wipeout rate unless u keep damsel. Haha.

Check your SG,PH, NH3,NO2 and NO3.
