How to get rid of fine bubbles?

I noticed there are fine bubbles coming out from inflow from the sump. Could it be air trap in the pipes? Didn't think it is possible since the my pump's rated flow rate is 1000l/hr.

Could it be that your pump is not totally submeged in water? or maybe your water level in the sump is not high enough, causing some air tobe sucked in as well.

many possibilities

1st maybe pump not strong enuf....resulting in air bubbles accumulating in the PVC pipe of the return pipe...use a stronger pump

2nd keep your PVC pipe network as simple as possible

3rd pump clogged up.Take it out and clean it

1 & 2 should help it happens to me too

That is called cavitating.

During cavitation, when the bubbles collapse they will produce ultrasound which will destroy the impeller over time. It indicates that there is insufficient or restriction of water reaching the impeller. Cavitation will not contribute micro bubbles, because the boiled water will condense immediately when the pressure decreases.

Any chance you have a protein skimmer and the pump in the sump compartment? Or if they are in separate compartments, bubbles from the skimmer somehow makes it way to the pump.

I also hot glue my piping joints just in case of water and air leaks.

Tat could be a possibility too...

from the way wsiong descibe...i thk more likely is that his pump too weak to pump enuf water to fill up his PVC pipe

Okay guys, problem partially solved. It seems that the bubbles were due to bubbles that were in the pump section of the sump that were created by water flowing down from the refugium. I minimised it by placing a filter wool at the gap.
