SRC Member dryDiver Posted August 25, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted August 25, 2014 Perhaps this thread should be in nuisance algae. My apologies mod
SRC Member solasido Posted August 25, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted August 25, 2014 Try emerald crab for the green bubble and tangs for the caulerpa, bro. The tangs loves caulerpa. I feed them sometimes from my refugium. For bubble algae not sure how effective, may be need manual but got to be careful as not to burst it (it is pregnant with spores that will spread). Thanks so much in advance. Try Google "bryopsis algae" to match.. If yes, you may try to increase Magnesium level. Some recommend urchins, turbo snails and lettuce nudibranch but the succeed rate is 50/50%. Base on experience, basically most herbivores don't really keen on this. You may consider Algae Mower Vac tool as well: Cheers and Happy Reefing. p.tm
Yea looks more like bryopsis. Most inverts dont consume bryopsis, mine did only for awhile before it turned to the other hair algae. Be careful raising mg may harm your snails
sherman
Wow big problem. Try to pull off as many as you can. Get turbo snails, sea hare, and urchin. They help. Shorten your light period and do a lot of water change till they disappear.
