Hi Seniors,

I am running rowaphos in thru a T off from my return pump in a FR in my sump. However I am still getting some algae growth in my DT, recently have bubble algae sprouting up. Was thinking that could be because the water does not flow to the sump fast enuff to be fluidized and the algae will actually consume the phosphates before it goes down to the sump. Using salifert test kit phos is undetectable.

Was thinking of having a hang on mini canister filter at the back of my DT that has AC and ultraphos inside. Will this work?

Thanks for reading

Hi. I'm no senior in this. But some thoughts to share. Phosphates are also available on ur rocks. It takes time for the rowa or media to reduce them entirely. Physically remove the algae will stunned its growth. Also nitrate and lighting period promotes algae. I don't think it's the speed of flow or contact. I keep freshwater using canisters and it's fine.
