Crab in LR

Hi Bro,

I discovered a big hairy crab inside one of the hole in my LR. I try to put bait in bottle and trap it but unsuccessful. One of my crown fish is dead due to this crab. Can someone help?

take out the LR, soak into higher salinity, for eg. 1.030. they will climb out. worse come to worse, soak into fresh water, not recommanded though as good bacteria will die off.

usually with high nitrate in the tank from feeding and dosing additives the crab will be poisoned to death. Found many of my crabs dead on the sandbed.... Easiest way to get rid of them but still a few more tough ones around which can overturn some of my corals....

Does the higher salinity thing work well? How about on other creatures such as mantis shrimp, etc?

i try curing some untreated LR with super concentrated salt water. it worked .. all the piston shrimps and crabs all crawled out of their holes ..

i soaked the rocks in the conc salt water for 30 mins. when i take out the rocks, all the crab and shrimps and bristle worms alll out at the bottom of my plastic ontainer.

Small crabs are ok i think... problem is when they grow big... they toppled corals, hunt small fish.... ekkk

hiyah jus buy an octopus. the smallest one u can find. all ur crabs will disappear. wont attact my fish even though sum ppl sae will..... btw my octopus is abt 2inch long with tenticles. quite small.

:? you got shrimps? Or any slow swimming fishes? .. the octopus will also eat them..
