Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there are a few LED drivers for sale over at the pasar malam section. Could give them a go, if by a stretch, you're considering DIY LED sets.

Where to go for DIY led $150 seems to me a very good buy !!! Care to pm me who is highly recommended ...

I just completed my own DIY led. I suggest before you even spend on those money. Ask yourself.

1. How much led are you using.

2. Full spectrum or just blue:neutral white ration.

3. If full spectrum how many channels are there going to be?

4. Going to be manual dimmable or automatic using controller?

5. If going automatic controller doing to program it yourself or buy existing ready made?

Start by reading up on

Gives you a rough idea of the number of led you need for your tank size.

Diy i would recommend going for ledgroupbuy or steve leds. But of course you pay a price for better leds and shipping to singapore.

In the end it just boila down to what you want and the quality you want.

Oops! Sorry, just calculated my cost for a 2 ft full spectrum DIY build costing me about $120. If u know where to source for quality led, you can get it done for about $200 or less. There are other led which is still reliable compared to high end LEDs at lesser price. Taiwan/Chinese made EpiLed and Epistar are also widely used in DIY LED fixtures and led cost are cheaper . It may not be as consistent in quality as those high end LEDs but is sure to get the job done. Do some search and you'll find that not all reefers use high end LEDs and yet get results. I've done DIY for freshwater planted tank using No brand Chinese made led and it made my plants pearl like no tomorrow and growth was amazing. It may or may not be the same for reef but it doesn't hurt to try. Will update my build on DIY section in time to come. Taiwan/Chinese led LEDs are not all bad after all. :)
