Can anyone advice me what is the essential supplement needed for reef tank? Are these a compulsory?

Currently i have not used any supplements and so far so good. All are doing well.

Be diligent with the filter wool change from the overflow, any accumulation of detritus or waste on the deep sand / coral chips bed in the first compartment is going to be a nitrate/phosphate factory after 1-2 years time.
