SRC Member Firestarter Posted July 27, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted July 27, 2014 After some time the top part will crack and can't hold the suction due to air leak. I always buy 5 at one go for backup. Quote Sometimes the good guys gotta do bad things to make the bad guys pay. - Harvey Specter

SRC Member Firestarter Posted July 27, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted July 27, 2014 Just took a pic. The 2 white indents are the cracks formed after frequent usage. Here's a tip. Cut off the tip of the old baster and slot the new one over it to extend the length. I can now siphon the base of my tank without getting my hands wet. ( the tip turned purple as I leave the baster in my ios but no ill effects observed.) 1 Quote Sometimes the good guys gotta do bad things to make the bad guys pay. - Harvey Specter

Guest
The extended version could also be use as a target feeder for corals.
