Dipping Sps with coral rx

Is it recommended to dip all sps in coral rx from lfs before introducing in to main tank?

Yes you should try to dip all your newly bought corals before entering your main tank.

But i got frens and read online saying some cannot dip. If u dip its will not survive is that true?

Smooth skin sps like those from deep water need to be more cautious. I usually reduce the dosage or the stipulated time.Blast it with turkey blaster while dipping is a practice.

Sorry to hijack your thread. Coral Rx better or Coral Revive better? Price big difference ... Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I using Coral RX now. Nv use Revive b4. So no idea. Some swear by RX Other Revive. It really depends on individual. My exp is it kills everything. In my recent dip i kills 10 over bandit crab which are good crab

Thanks for sharing. If Rx can kill crab, will it harm the coral then? Especially SPS and Zoa?

I can only say dun overdose as its very concerntrated. Havent lost any coral due to dipping as of now

Ya agreed! Overdose anything can kill everything ... so always dose 1/2 - 3/4 of the recommended dosage; I learnt this the hard way

recently i bought a sps colony from AM and when i came back i dipped it in a few mins in Coral RX. Yesterday i spotted 2 crabs inside, luckily it seems to be the smooth shell type.

i nvr use coral rx b4 due to its price , i am using revive and it kills anything and very effective against AEFW
