Strong current LPS

May I know which lps loves a strong current? Wish to place a couple of lps about 1 ft away from the wavemaker. Thanks in advance.

I felt it's quite subjective. Some corals suppose to have strong current decided to like moderate current. I had gradually adjusted to ensure all is fine in my tank. Let's hear out. And by strong, how strong are you referring? The flowrate and tank size give a better gauge?

Star polyps r not exactly lps. They r considered soft corals. Dun think any lps can take direct blast from wm.

Hope TS found his corals. Try explore lfs and see those lps that they place near the wavemaker or the outlet flow. Check flowrate and see if yours similar. If so and those corals are opening, you may consider ^^

I think Duncans seems to like flow but not direct blasting ..

Have a ducan coral too and its doing well in high flow. Torch don't seems to do good in High flow. That's for my case hope it helps.

I have 1 torch not under high current doing well, I have another torch under high current doing fine (still extended out). depends on coral itself. Some people like fan, some like air con. ^^ try and test out will be better.

Gorgonians normally. But i always they arent easy to keep, at least i wasnt very auccessful

Based on personal experience, hammer, torch and frogspawn can do well under moderate to strong flow but not under direct blast.. I have hammer and frogspawn within 1 feet of my wave maker before but they are of lower position so they enjoy the under drift current caused by the wave maker.

It depends on ur wm also....jebao wm usually has a narrow stream flow whereas mp has a wider stream.

Taufiq85 is correct also depends onw your wavemaker size.. 4ft.. sound like a big wavemaker. I place my duncan near my wavemaker but my tunze 6095 running on 18w only.
