Chlorine treatment with new sea water

Can anyone advise me on the use of chlorine to treat new sea water before use in main tank?

I don't think you need to treat chlorine if you're using nsw

I thought of making sure not bad bacteria is living in that sea water and introduce into my main tank.

I do that all the time, very safe if done properly. Buy sodium thiosulphate to neutralize the chlorine and invest in a hanna total chlorine photometer.

Oh think he wants to use chlorine to kill the bad bacteria, not remove chlorine right? Chlorine is extremely harmful to fish, so should not use it. The bacteria in the sea water are actually beneficial for your tank so it is best not to do anything to it

Bro Fuel, where do I get the chlorine photometer? I always thought just let the chlorine evaporate by using strong air bubble?

Why don't use a UV sterilizer instead?

Bro Firestarter I'm using UV now but it's with the main tank. So was thinking to find another way to clean up the new water

Do you guys think if I do the chlorine treatment with LR in the tank, will it kill the LR?
