Hi all, need some help from someone who uses the same chiller before.

Using a 1/4 with a boyu 1500 feeder for my 4 feet tank with a 3 feet sump.

Set my chiller at 26deg.

Came back home yesterday to see my tank at 28.7 deg with the chiller still on.

Turned the AirCon on and it took close to 3 hours to chill back the tank to 26 deg. Is this normal? Or the chiller isn't strong enough to chill my tank down?

bro 2 key factors here. boyu pump is not.as powerful as other brands like eheim..... so the actual rate may be lower.

also, 1/4p in is a bit.under power for ur 4 ft tank. esp in june n july hottest weather.

so my suggestion is to get a better brand n higher Flow rate pump. and raise up tempurature a bit These 2 months.

or upgrade chiller.

Woah seriously? I saw it's rated for up to a 800l volume and mine is about 460, the gap is quite huge. So for a 500l volume, one usually goes for a 1/2 hp or 1? Which is rated for 1200 l volume? Sorry very new to chiller use.
