Buttons Growing Longer

Want to ask for advice, I keep a few pieces of buttons ranging from orange to green to brown buttons and I noticed that they are growing longer over time. They also seem to be growing in all directions, becoming more 'sparse'.

Are they missing nutrients or not enough light or???

Please advice, thanks!

i think they dont have enough light

wat are you lighting and your tank size

2 Feet, using a handed me down u tube light with one side blue the other white...sorry don't know enough about marine stuff yet to describe...

from your description i think u are using PL.2 tubes of PL should be ok leh..i am using PL also and my buttons are doing fine...hhhmmmm, try relocating them to a higher place, maybe rite on top of the hill to get more light.maybe your positioning not very good.

PLs should be ok but really depend on your tank's depth and therefore the depth the coral is at..

I notice mine is gowinglonger too....well will shift them more up

Mine too, they are like stretching their necks!!

I think lack of lights.. If enough, the buttons should be flat on the rock.

Lack of light... they are stretching to reach more light..
