SRC Member penyu Posted February 24, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted February 24, 2004 I'm currently using Instant Ocean salt for my tank. Is it possible if I change to some other brands instead or must I use Instant Ocean only? Will it affect the water quality and the tank inhabitants if I change the brand of the salt? SRC Member arcanehacker Posted February 24, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted February 24, 2004 nah.. I've been changing sea salt mix everytime.. no harm done.. I've used about 4 brands of seasalt already.. actually I'm trying to find one that mixes better.. dun use kent... sucks.. I bet if you leave it bubbling for days, still there will be residues... Penyu, You can order from our sponsor, eAquaNature ... they sell at $72 for the biggest 20kg packing and they delivers FOC for purchases of more than $50. What is Reborn selling at? Infinitereef
I switched from IO to Tropic Marvin. I am very happy with it. Tropic Marvin has more calcium content than IO which give you better coral growth. I don't know whether they sell those in Sing or not. Here in US, tropic marvin is not very common on LFS. I ordered it online for US$39 for 200 Gallons bucket. I paid US$16 for shipping. Also heard that IO has inconsistent product quality, sometimes may get a bad lot. But I had no problem in my IO.
