SRC Member Bulldozer Posted June 14, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 14, 2014 Just text my friend ... he also calculated about the same answer as you. That is provided Filled with Water. But it should only be fill to 80% of the height of tank. Wonder how to mount to wall with a Base Plank Shelf ..... Any ideas ?

SRC Member kenyee Posted June 16, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted June 16, 2014 This pic is taken somewhere in SRC thread n from the internet too..for ur reference.. Imho, 90kg is neither heavy nor light..safety come 1st..to hold safely, the bracket or the wall must b strong..strong bracket will b like bracket that hold air con compressor..won't b sightly though in my eyes..there r nice bracket in the market definitely that can hold such weight but think it won't come cheap..shop like N30 shd b able to quote u.. Cheers.. Quote @ 291213 Updated video: Kenyee FOWLR http://m.youtube.com/my_videos
SRC Member Bulldozer Posted June 16, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 16, 2014 Kenyee.... thanks .. That's a fierce hanging concept tank. Will try to search what is N30 to find out more. Thanks again ...
SRC Member reefaquaria Posted June 17, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted June 17, 2014 The bracket needs to be strong to limit the deflection to the level that glass tank can tolerate hence big bracket. Another consideration is on the wall itself. Brick wall may not be able to support big glass tank mounted on it as it may cracks. Perhaps you can consider to cut open the wall to the tank size and let the tank sit partially on the wall and therefore the bracket can be smaller. SRC Member Bulldozer Posted June 17, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 17, 2014 NOted with thanks. I suppose cutting thru the wall does not sounds good for me. Brackets sounds good but dunno which type .. still trying to explore internet to find out brackets that can hold but do not spoil the looks of the tank.
