SRC Member titustitus Posted June 10, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted June 10, 2014 Hi guys, I have a small rainbow farm tank (not sure considered nano/pico) and was thinking of whether I should DIY an algae scrubber. Will an algae scrubber be feasible for such small tanks? And can the algae scrubber be external instead of in the main tank? And if possible, does anyone have any idea how to DIY a small and simple one? Thanks a lot n advance!

anmiheng
I used to run a DIY ATS on a 25cm Rainbow tank. Result not so bad n cut down on water change too. Only left this pic showing the algae on the screen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

anmiheng
I got a container from Daiso, drill 2 holes at the side of the bottom to hold a rainbar then attached the screen with the rainbar. Cut a hole at the back for a T8 lamp then reverse the container n let it sit on top of the iOS. Think I still hv the container at home. Will post pic tonite.
