Sand eater fish with yellow head

any ways to know why the sand eater yellow head fish always hide under the rock.

Yellow head jawfish is a very shy species. New introductions normally will hide until it feels confident enough to venture out. I there another fish that threatens it. It will starve to death inside its hole.

jawfish dont eat sand.

sand eating yellow head fish maybe goby we cant be sure unless you have a photo.

Are they generally easy to keep?

I thinking to get goby. But don't know do they Really clean the sand?? Needed advice. Pls!!

As far as I know, not all gobies are as active in cleaning/sifting the sand. I've never seen my yellow watchman goby sift sand but I've seen twin spot gobies sift sand at ah beng. I've heard that sand sifting gobies are not suitable for small/new tanks because of the availability of sufficient food.
