You may feel there is no difference with or without the cover because our eyes are not so sensitive to little change in the power emitted by the lights.

Just put the mesh cover under any light, if there is shadow means light is blocked out...

I was at polyart yesterday and the arylic plastic with pre drilled holes ( use as tank divider). I estimate dimension is 1 by 1 feet. They have a plastic material looks like mesh with fine holes( semi flexible ). Fairly strong and stable to be place directly on the 2 by 1 tank.

actually can just ask people from those hardware shops to cut out a piece of acrylic for u. its quite cheap and easily available but no ventilation for those using fans to cool their tanks. but no problem to those using chillers!

bro ur tank cover is good at keeping jumping fishes but it blocks lots of lights. Esp those with sps corals this one cannot use

Yes egg crate blocking alot of light that the house don't look comfortable due to the light reflecting off the crate

Hence I wanna try the mesh method but still looking for the frame
