Bunster, could you also share your Maxpect Razor setting & timing?

I've set mine to about 40-45% for ~ 6hrs per day & am keen to have a reference.

Current maxspect settings (120w 16k 120 deg lens)

00:00 A 0% B 0%

08:00 A 0% B 0%

11:00 A 80% B 85%

16:00 A 80% B 80%

19:00 A 0% B 80%

21:00 A 0% B 1%

I started off with ard 40% and slowly increased abt 2% a week. Sps growing ok. Tried to go up to 90% but some lps didn't look too happy so I cut it down again. Still experimenting...

very nice coral garden. I'm using maxspec razor too and find it hard to get such colors in my photos. It always comes out too bluish and purplish...

thanks... if you're using an iphone, try setting your maxspect to manual mode, put whites at max 100% and blues 10-20% or lower... if you're using a digital cam, you've got to shoot in RAW and adjust your white balance.

bro, how long does it takes u to get into LPS->SPS?

daily dose! u damn dedicated. i dun even know what to dose at the moment. haha

About 3 months... sometimes I wonder if SPS are easier than LPS...

Beautiful Tank, Doesnt need big to show whats good yea!

Thanks!

Hi. Bro. Check with u on the microbacter dosing. Do u always mix the 1-2 drop to a container first. Then pour into tank. N turn off skimmer. Just like they instructed.

I just drip a couple of drops into the back chamber directly. I don't turn of the skimmer... I'm too lazy

Have your clown gobies come out from hiding yet?

The panda gobies? I saw one of them once... but that was like a week ago

Great progress on the montipora!

Thanks!

Its been a rather unfortunate month for the tank. 3 blastomussa colonies mysteriously melted away. I'm not too sure why, the rest of the corals are fine. My red firefish and my favourite Naoko wrasse also went missing one after the other. No, they didn't jump... can't find the bodies anywhere.

Bought this tangaroa goby for consolation...

But it jumped out the next day ( yes, I've got a glass cover with a tiny gap at the sides )

Sigh... no mood for FTS this month
