Was pleasantly surprised...found my 2 tiger pistols sharing the same burrow with the yashia and nematodes....here is a pic of big momma excavating a bigger home for the 'shrimp-pecked' daddy.

Due to my poor photography skills, antique digi cam...coupled with the shy male pistol shrimp...only managed to get a shot of his 'pistols'. Anyway...i made the pic clearer using photoshop. The colors are falsified. The female is in front..the male at the back..shy fellow.

Many have asked what form of garlic I feed my fish. So here is my secret. Won't be a secret anymore after this.

aren't those in capsule form? what u do? poke hole and squeeze out the garlic?

60 softgels. I burst each gel before soaking the food with it. I throw the capsule away. 10mg concentrate equivalent to 5000mg of fresh garlic. No added sugar, preservatives, artificial flavoring or color, starch, yeast or wheat. Recommended daily consumption for adults = 1 capsule a day. I feed my fish 1 capsule soaked food every 2 days or when I feel like it everyday.

You peeps must be wondering how much this costs....you all will be shocked. Saw it for SGD $9.90 in one pharmacy. At first I thought it was like 20-30 bucks per bottle...coz my dad buy one..then I chanced it upon at the pharmacy. Yea....no more holding back on garlic now.

Now my secret is out.

I use sharp stainless steel tweezers to twist one end till it bursts..don't worry..you will get used to the smell of garlic. I'm known as the walking garlic man at home. It has an oily texture that will sink deep into your skin. Since it can do that..I'm sure it will soak right thru food.

ever considered using a toothpick to burst it and then squeezing it? or you've done that already and its impossible? coz I'll be doing that soon for the next batch of food I'm going to make.

haha...yar hate the strong pungent... Use a sharp needle haha

If you burst it with a small toothpick most prob the garlic extract will spurt all over the place. I prefer using metal tweezers. You can try using the needle if you want. I'm more of a tweezer guy.

Tried to pair my jawfish with another one today...oops..think they din like each other..now both living at opp ends of the tank.

Hmmm...hehe..as I'm posting, both my jawfishes are snuggling next to each other..guess the 'courtship' i observed last night might be truly a courtship..oh well...will keep an eye on them..
