Aerohigh
HI ! Does anyone know if there any impact on SPS , LPS and fish etc if i keep my moonlight on throughout the night ? Will this stress the live stocks and cause more algae ? Quote Happy Reefing
tofubox
I don't think its an issue, depending on how strong your moonlight is. Its more for aesthetics. I personally switch mine off as i dont find it necessary. Quote I Love Stagsss

SRC Member digibee Posted May 2, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted May 2, 2014 You keep dim moonlight on throughout the night to give the right atmosphere for paired fish to do their monkey business... Hehehe... Quote () Happy will do ... (o_o)

blusafe
If you are really advanced, need to keep the tank in tune with the lunar cycles. Some people go as far to change the lighting angle. At the minimum, keep in mind a natural reef is never 100% dark.
