hi all, all of us should be very interested in removing nitrate phos and a lot of other deadly chemicals in our tank....other than skimmers and troublesome monthly water change... i saw this website that offers another alternative....

http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/algaecontrol/a/aa070403.htm

on top of this,i saw this new kind of filtration method (new to me) i think its similar to a refugium only that i think it will be very nice if u can grow a small plant in your main tank and having it stretch the canopy above the water level, juz like a mangrove.

check this out too

and this

one thing, anyone has any idea where can i get it commercially? only place i can think of is KRANJI RESERVOIR, where i can steal it  ....but rather cheapo :whistle (i wanted to steal east coast park's sand for my DSB and got screwed by a few brothers :paiseh: ).dun wanna kena again....anyone has any idea??? :thanks:

mangroves you will have to use light around 6500K spectrum as they are land plants. The spectrum we use for marine does make them grow, but 6500K will make them grow faster.

Always something more important than fish.
