Anyone has success with chevron tangs? care to share your experience?

Kept mine from juvenile til now, think more than 6mths. Think it is also slowly changing to adult. Greedy eater, feed on pellets and glaze on algae on my LR.

Bro Your chevron tang nicer at juvenile stage right ? I have seen some chevron tang at adult stage not so attractive than juvenile coloration.. Cheers

me have keep chevron b4 from a 2" juv grow into 4" full adult color in just 4 months time so get smallest as possible so u can enjoy the nice juv color longer time ...

feeding i think not a real issue with tangs in general if you get a healthy specimen they usually will peck on live rock and rapidily

accept dry food : pellet, mysis shrimp and seaweed..

Aggression wise I think the most fierce is sohal..it oso depend on the fish size difference..ur tank size n scaping play a part too..good luck..

I had a bad experience with chevron whereby it died after few days due to swollen mouth. was happily eating days before. no idea why only this fish im having this issue

I see.. Tang are in general agressive between them , if I am you I will not put a chevron tang in last. Unless the chevron is larger than your existing tang or if you have a large tank..your already have 2 agressive tang inside ( sohal and achilles )..

sorry to hear that. I had same fate on 3 chevron previously & sadly it died the next day. I did lots of reading but cant really find the exact cause of the issue. no sign of velvet or ich either

I never keep Chevron tang before that y i never give advise. I only give advise if I encounter and manage to solve. For stuff i never encounter before, I keep quiet and let others advise.

For Chevron tang info, there's really not much from google..have read that bacterial infection/parasites might b the cause..once again copper come in for the treatment..of coz if fish still eating, try not to give medication as will stress the fish further..

U sure for bacteria infection, copper is the cure? If the fish still feeding dont put med? Then wait till fish stop feeding then start to dose med? By then good game liao bro.
