then you are not using the HO T5 tubes which is 24watts for 2ft and 39watts for 3ft.

These bulbs will produce more light than yr regular T5

OIC... Of course the HO tubes would logically be better. But I just wanted to give the tank more light. Apparently it serves its purpose. There's no way to know the colour temp cos never state on the box. But then again, seems fine to me. See how my LS fair in this light for a few days first lah....

no, the ballast is too weak to drive HO T5 and does not have the warm start function.

Tube - Deltec deepocean 39watts

ballast - Atco ironcore ballast 40watts

starter - 4-125watts electronic pulsestarter

The pulse starter cost abt $14 and the ballast is about $4.

You means the "Atco ironcore ballast 40watts" is a normal PL ballast (home used ballest 40w) or must find the brand "Atco"? if Atco where to buy?
