Have any reefers implemented ats in their Nano? I am looking into this and hope to get some ideas from everyone.

Hey dragon, was thinking of doing an ats too for my 2ft nano since I dont have the space for refugium. More inclined to the upflow method and plenty of positive feedback from those that DIY and commercial products.

Was planning on DIY or getting the santa monica Hog 1.0, Fairly neat setup, takes up minimal space, and can place at the back or side of display. Less space requirement than the waterfall method.

I might just keep a look out for black boxes of a good size, and maybe learn abit to diy red leds. Till than, i'll let my yellow tang enjoy what little algae there is in the display.

I can make one out of acrylic. If you have the design and don't mind share with me I can see if my lousy DIY skills enough to make one.

ATS is good for nutrients export, I started from that. But got to replace or scrub the algae diligently, else algae can die off and contribute nutrients instead of exporting.

You can also get it from Daiso at the gardening section. Its black in colour, about an A4 size sheet.
