PL light set

Got Aqualux 55W 10000K form Marine life yesterday. $35 each. Noticed a little to the yellowish side. Wonder why. Is yours yellowish yoo boxfish ? Thinking of getting a 03 actinic blue to make it a little blue.

I have that aqualux 55w also.. it turns much more yellowish as days goes by. Its been operated for 2 months+ now, and it has turned more yellow than my 5 month old 6.5k FL~!

Is there any other 55w PL brand, that we can turn to? Anyone advise?

my conclusion after reading all the posts...PL tube are not good becos it looks yellow

The Aqualux 10KK 36W tube appears kinda yellowish

Modify lor..

10k + one actinic blue then everything looks nice..

Can add in switch to switch on actinic blue only at night..

Just act a 03 actinic blue and wohla..you got that cyrstal white-with-abit-of-blue effect No joke!

Was at yishun to get 2.5 FT 2* PL lights but doesnt come with 55W. Noted that light replacement will be tough as most LFS dont carry.

Decided on a 3FT but no 55W ones. Can anyone advice where can by the 55W PL Lights set with casing?
