what benefits does a Tunze offer to an established tank? need to give some five cents worth of reasoning to mother before plans are approved. she just doesn't see how something that blows water out may cost up to $190 for an uncontrollable, or lagi worse, close to $1k when it comes to a two controllable set.

so can anyone help me and tell me what other reasons/benefits are there? thanks! (=

Well, it depends on how you 'sell' the idea to her.

- To the tank benefit, improve circulation is good at preventing detritus buildup, thus improving aesthetics.

- To the tank inhabitants benefit, it gives your LPS the swaying motion to make it look natural and also give the fishes some exercise. The benefits to SPS should be easy.

*feng shui tip: vigorous swimming action of fishes in a fish tank placed in the 'wealth' position is good.

- To the pocket benefit, Tunze pushes A LOT of water with little electrical consumption.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, tell her what she wants to hear ... simple enough? :)

like to hear more 'reasons' too, got myself to convince leh ..

mine being lps majority, has a low circulation prob .. thus pondering betwn a closed loop or tunze

you can have a cheapest tunze that beats your closed loop flow rate at a mere fraction of the wattage and thus electricity costs...in no time pay for the stream price already

Intelligent people talk about ideas......

Average people talk about things......

Small people talk about other people......
