Non dimmable LED light

Hi, am planning to get a par38 led light. Have a question regarding the light. I was wondering if the LED light is non dimmable and when you on it, will the sudden exposure of light shock the coral? Is it very important to go for dimmable light so that every morning you can slowly power up the intensity which might not be as much of a shock. Any Lao jiao can advise?

not a necessity, mainly for our own pleasure. T5s and MH turns on instantly too though MH does get warm up a little before going full power.

think reefers in the US has done an experiment before and see no harm regarding instantaneously blasting corals with light. people with Kessils a350/a150 also can only have their lights turned on this way.

I really like the led lights now. Able to get the ripple shadow effect even in the small tanks. Previously only mh can do that. For small tanks only PLs. However, with the many color LEDs, we get this disco light effect. Wonder if the tank inhabitants will get dizzy?

My Wish List

- Black Ocellaris

- Royal Grammar

- Orchid Dottyback

- Rose Anemone

- Zoos (all kinds!)

- Purple People Eater

- Floridae Rics
