I use the chaeto to support it, its been there for close to a week. think by now it should have stick to the rock? gonna try tilting it to more upright position soon

What I did for my clam, I place my clam on a flat harden epoxy putty. Let it secure itself to the epoxy, then you can glue the epoxy and place wherever you like.

Alternatively, you can get a flat shell and do the same. By doing this, I have the freedom to move the clam without the need the cutting procedure.

Your clam looks normal dont worry..best place for clams are The Sand..
