Help with ich!

Recommended Posts

From what I read and learnt is that copper will be absorbed by any porous material.

Rocks, sand and even filter elements. Then it leaches back into the water column over time making it unsafe for any inverts or corals.

The only way is to be 100% safe is to dump them.

That's why many reefers have a quarantine/hospital tank. It does not have any rocks and usually is bare bottom so that they can dose carbon to remove the copper after treatment.

Yeah. Ichs are a pain. That's the way to go Bro. Removing your fishes. Not a fan of hypo. Especially if the corals are in. Try your best to quarantine your fishes man. Can be a little troublesome but worth it in the long. :) One more thing. Anything used with copper can't be used with corals. Don't let anything that touch copper come close to your DT. Cheers

Cheers!
