Copepods

Hi guys is it possible to keep copepods in my DT? Right now my tank is still cycling. i was thinking after cycle before putting any Fish i put in copepods 1st. Probably will stack some rock for them to hide. Will it work?

No use... The fish will still wipe them out in no time... My copepods were in my sump before but also kanna wipe out...

Ok. But if i let them multiply for awhile? Let them infest the whole tank 1st?

LR with lots of small little holes and sandbed shd help in the multiplying of the copepods..for copepods growth, best to have a refugium with just LR will do..they will multiply there n slowly being pump up into ur DT to feed ur fishes..my tangs keep standing by at my return pipe area n grab whatever organisms that's being pump out there..cheers n happy reefing

Bro... No diff... You cannot control the rate that the pods are being pumped into the DT. It'll still be wiped out in no time. Mine took a week and the sump is emptied out... Lol...

Roger bro..I would still see pods in my refugium crawling ard my LR...hope they still multiply there n surplus will b pumped into my DT..haha..for fishes that peck on LR aren't they feeding on pods?..pls enlighten..thks cheers n happy reefing..
