Water changes ..

Stable Already

Still no skimmer

I Screwed The LFS for Terible Service..

Now they are Saying Replacement Pumps Are coming next week

my tank cant last

Im looking for some secondhand skimmers..my budget damn tight!!! :(

Life Of A Student Sucks!..

New Pump Cost Me MYR 670+..Die liao

Any advice?..:S

get the LFS to lend you a skimmer or risk losing you as a customer.

Bro, get the LFS to lend u a skimmer..

Check ur skimmer need a specific pump to operate back or any powerhead can do the trick?

Skimmer Maker States The Pump for that skimmer..Tried a Hailea Pump was running then overflow..asked the Pg lfs they said ..need to a RO pump..Most LFS dont carry..Due to Hard to find parts..

one side im trying to fight this.

Stop all carbon dosing and with air pump plus weekly water change, short term without skimmer you should not be too concern. Thought you getting the skim beckett skimmer?

You can try rio hyperflow pump for the Beckett skimmer. As much as eheim may be sufficient, that's because for James's skimmer it's on a mazzei injector. Only one constriction and one air hole in the entire injector design. But that's not the case for Beckett. You need a rly strong pump for it.

No joke. Been there seen that done that. Can try googling for the design of Beckett injector and mazzei injector and you'll get my point.

Anyway agree with carbon dose points the guys raised. Your nitrates increased not solely because of vinegar but lack of oxygen due to you running biopellets initially.

In any case, don't fret. Don't scream. Like I've shared, go get Purigen and dump it in. If you want to balance the ph, dose Kalkwasser without vinegar to balance the ph or act as ph buffer. But first... Check your ph.

Gosh i am worried..New Airpumps..My ph has Droped..Crazily.. So far Only 1 damsell dead...Is it possible to Change water when light off?..purple tangs face is pale..Normal?..

Hi bro, hope all your livestock is still ok. Yes, you can do water change even when light is off and in fact it is good as the water change during backout will help replenish oxygen to the tank.

it is good to have some form of backup some time. i think you can check out with bryan and he can show you some cheap and affordable DIY UPS system using car battery.

The fish should return to normal once the power is restored .

I remember my power outaged for 2 hours in the night luckily my bladder notify me of the problem :)

Realized my fish gasping for "breathe" ... Think 2hrs is the max for my 3.5ft tank

Bewarnn Biopellet consequences will be worse if your skimmer gg again . Take a look at "lunar reef thread" rc totq running np biopellet + po4x4 remover to give u some boost in spirit . Haaha

vinegar is definitely safe, much safer then biopellets. been dosing 8 months vinegar, sometimes my skimmer overflows and skimmates all go back to tank, my tank handles it well.
