With all the news about the missing MH370 with still no proper evidence of it crash into the sea, many speculations are out there but it still puzzles me. Maybe a cover up or not. Maybe it really really crashed.

There was this news once i read back in 2011, that our RSAF planes where detected by Malaysian Air Force flying into Johor airspace. A claim of 2000+ accidental flying into johor airspace was detected. From my understandings our RSAF aircraft can only be fully detected by our radar system. Neighbouring countries can only detect it as a blip and as a unidentified aircraft.

What puzzles me is, when MH370 transponder was turned off, made a u turn, crossed malaysian airspace and into the indian ocean, doesnt that considered as unidentified aircraft flying over its airspace? Why didnt Malaysia Air force radar detected it? Seriously, if it was me, any unidentified aircraft flying over my airspace is a threat to me and i will surely scrambled my jets to intercept it. Fishy aint it? They can detect RSAF accidentally flying into thier airspace but cant detect thier own aircraft flying into thier own airspace.

This is the first mistake by their ground crew.

When the ground radar detect the MH370 turn always from its normal plan path

they are suppose to find out what is happening.

If communication system is not getting any response the air force is suppose

to scrambled their fighter jets to intercept it and escort the MH370 back to the

air base.

Look out the tower is sleeping and miss the event

I remember reading an article where a malaysian minister actually questioned the readiness of the malaysian air force.

DAP Raub MP Datuk Mohd Ariff Sabri Abdul Aziz today questioned the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for not checking an aircraft that flew mysteriously across the Malay peninsula the morning that the MAS Boeing 777-200ER disappeared.

"At the time that whatever radar captured an intrusion into our space by an unidentified plane, why did TUDM not do anything. Where were our 18 Sukhois, our MIG and all that," he asked in his popular blog today, referring to the air force by its Bahasa acronym.

The former Umno politician pointed out the Indian military said the response to an unidentified plane in the country's airspace would be an immediate scramble of its fighter jets to intercept.

"That is how we confirm whether the object is hostile or not - not by waiting for people in the flying object to say - hello general, we are evil people with evil intentions.

Just my thoughts on this...

I think that many years ago there was this American plane.It flew into some area and got lost,and guess what?It only returned after 35 years!However,for the passengers,it only seemed like 2 hours!Kinda creepy..

Aerospace Defence Consultant Ravi Madavaram insists the military did no wrong.

"From my point of view, they didn't make a mistake. They didn't miss a military aircraft. They missed a commercial aircraft which is not their job anyway (to monitor)."

He stresses that the objectives of the military's primary radar and commercial secondary radar are very different.

The secondary radar, he says, is used by the air traffic control (ATC) to track commercial aircraft as much as possible especially during landing and takeoff, which are the critical stages of a flight.

It requires fast response and communication is done via a transponder in the cockpit of the aircraft.

The military, on the other hand, uses a primary radar as its purpose is to track which airplane is a friend or foe.

It does not need a transponder because typically an enemy aircraft will not respond.

The primary radar hardware is automated and gives out blips every four to 12 seconds.

A military jet would give out a very small signal on the radar, says Ravi of Frost & Sullivan, while a commercial jet will give a big reading.

"So I can understand if nobody gets excited over the MH370 passing because from the primary radar they can see that it's too big to be a military aircraft and it looks like a commercial aircraft which is flying off route so they just ignore it."

If it is something small and moving fast, like a fighter jet, that is when the air force will take it seriously and be on the alert, he adds.

For him, overlooking that passing of MH370 is totally forgivable given the fact that Malaysia has "not seen much territorial attacks" nor does it face threats from neighbouring countries.

"Military and perspective work in a particular setting. If it is an object between China and India, or India and Pakistan, then everyone is going to put their jets up because you have that war scenario there and everything needs to be regularly checked."

But Malaysia and its neighbouring countries are generally peaceful countries, he says, so they are not thinking "this is war" and that readiness might not be there.

The readiness is not in isolation, he says. It goes very much hand in hand with intelligence, which may suggest a possible incursion, or that people are planning something.

What their aviation defence minister says is really not acceptable. Commercial aircraft have flight plans military air defence needs a radar to identify commercial airlines so as not to intefere with military aircraft flight. Even when theres a big blip and a slow moving aircraft. Its still a threat if its unidentify. RMAF should have try to make communication to identify it. No response? Scramble jets. Thats basic air defence. What happens if MH370 was really hijacked and its intention was too crash itself in KL? Militart radar are there for a reason. Yet nothing was done when they found out that MH370 was flying in their airspace.

bro. Hijack commercial plane would be a big threat. No excuses. Anyway size of blip don't determine anything, a C130 is just as big as a commercial plane. So they only track fighter jets? LOL??

Precisely bro, everything about mh370 doesnt make any sense. From the security in its airport to the end of its flight path where theres still no evidence. Everything is puzzling.

By far this is the most unreasonable answer to say. Flying off route (big off route in this matter) and ignoring it. LoL

My belief is tat, tis has to do with malaysia politic. I believe e plane n all e passenger r safe. Release anwar ibrahim n e plane will return back...
